I had the opportunity to collaborate with director Olga Midlenko and the Elastic team for the opening title sequence of Nike's FootballVerse film. Our main goal was to incorporate the film's metaverse and wormhole concept into the typography.

The sequence begins with the FC logo surrounded by glowing dots, and as the camera moves towards the 'FootballVerse' text, these dots transform into streaks of light, creating a sense of speed. The letter 'O' in 'FootballVerse' takes center stage, turning into a wormhole that draws in the surrounding letters.

We also came up with a different idea that aligns with the film's time-travel theme and the brand's color palette for the campaign. We considered giving the typography a retro touch, reminiscent of classic designs, featuring long, glowing lines that resemble laser lights.

For the third approach, we combined Nike's vibrant colors and added painterly effects to a 3D typeface with a subtle touch of gritty metal texture to create an energetic and lively atmosphere.

For this approach, we utilized volumetric, vivid colors as the primary light source, projecting them onto the type. The aim was to evoke a retro ambiance both in the typography and the overall mood.
